Music Together® Training, 2026

I have been singing since I could speak! My mother tells a story of her pushing me around the produce aisle in a grocery cart, belting The Little Mermaid’s “Part of Your World” for anyone and everyone to hear. While I may not spontaneously entertain grocery store shoppers today, I actively perform whenever I can. I’ve sung in choirs throughout my life, show choirs, a cappella groups, and earned a BFA in Music Theatre at Sam Houston State. Outside of music, I earned my Master’s in Strategic Communication and Digital Strategy at The University of Oklahoma.

Today, I continue to share the joy of music by writing and performing with my husband during livestreams, singing with Love Notes Chorus (where nearly one-third of our members are living with Alzheimer’s or dementia), and performing around Austin with Magnolia Blue Trio alongside a fellow Heartsong teacher, Michelle Jamail.

Every child is musical, and my goal as your teacher is to help your child develop a lifelong relationship with music. I believe that music isn’t about becoming a performer, but building confidence, sparking creativity, and fostering community. Music is a tool children can use to express themselves inside and outside of the classroom.

I long to share my passion for music with families to create a culture of harmony (no pun intended). Music brings people together, and I want to support your child’s music development while also providing a safe space for parents and guardians to explore, learn, and most importantly, have fun!
